The Toshiba
3500 Portege is the first tablet PC we've reviewed, and straight
away we discovered that it's versatile and compact with a great
battery life, but not particularly powerful when compared to
standard notebooks. However the tablet functionality is very
convenient for taking notes and for reading electronic documents.
This means it is a great fit for those like to use a pen instead
of a keyboard. This Toshiba laptop is also very light, weighing in at around 4.1lbs, and the battery life is generous, around 3 and a half hours of battery power under normal conditions. When converted to Tablet mode, the 3500 provides the same experience as an 8½ by 11 notepad. You can also change screen orientation from portrait to landscape mode at will to adapt to changing work space. The Toshiba 3500 Portege can easily be used as a notebook, as well as a convertible tablet PC, so you can create handwritten notes, drawings, or annotate documents directly on the screen. Then you can save them in your own handwriting or convert them to typed text. The lowest price we found for this model was $1145, but it's wise to get up to date tablet prices by using comparison shopping engines such as bizrate.com. These comparison engines are useful tools to discover the cheapest mobile computer prices across the web. Read more Toshiba reviews: Toshiba P10 S429 - Toshiba A25 S307 satellite |
