| In 1918 Konosuke
Matsushita, founded Matsushita Electric. Still in his twenties he
invented a two socket light fixture in a small workshop employing
only two people to lend a hand - his brother in law and his wife.
Robert Louis Stevenson once said: "Don't judge each day by the
harvest you reap, but by the seeds you plant." In Konosuke
Matsushita's case this quotation rings true, as his humble
beginnings led to what is now one of the world's largest
electronics companies, the Matsushita Electric Industrial Co Ltd.
Today the Matsushita group employs over 280,000 people worldwide
owning brands such as JVC, Quasar and Technics. In the west they
are probably best known for their Panasonic brand
name. The Panasonic Toughbook range Panasonic manufactures a durable range of laptops called Toughbooks, which are designed to survive the harshest work enviroments.
