Review of the IBM T22 Thinkpad

Check out our short review of the IBM Thinkpad T22. This laptop computer in it's heyday cost over three thousand dollars, but now (July 2004) discount computer retailer Tigerdirect are offering a number of these machines for a discounted price of only $599.99! Last year (2003), only 11 years after the release of the 700C, the Thinkpad range of IBM laptops broke the 20 million sales barrier. Not only are the sales figures impressive, but this companies notebooks have won countless awards for performance and usability, from computer hardware and tech magazines across the globe.

The IBM Thinkpad T22 is equipped with a 20GB hard drive, a 14.1 inch screen, and is powered by an adequate 900MHz Pentium 3 processor. Today these kind of specifications won't set the notebook world alight, but a laptop like this will give you a solid, reliable performance. Certainly a number of independent IBM Thinkpad T22 reviewers over at Epinions liked this model enough to give it a 4.5 stars out of 5 overall rating. We almost forgot to mention, the IBM T22 is also fitted with a DVD player, making this, in our humble opinion, a great laptop deal for under 600 dollars.
